Rice cakes in a glossy sauce, sweet filled hotteok and crisp vegetable pancakes offer three different ways to share a Korean snack. Tteokbokki benefits from a sauce that thickens around tender rice cakes. Hotteok needs time for dough to rise and care with its very hot filling. A thin layer helps vegetable pancakes brown.
